Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common type of arthritis affecting millions of people. Although often referred to as ‘wear and tear’, it is now believed to be a disease of the joint. OA affects the whole joint and may present with the following:

  • Swelling and heat of the joint
  • Joint pain or aching at rest and with weight bearing
  • Joint stiffness often occurring after resting or first thing in the morning
  • Reduced range of movement
  • Fatigue
  • Cartilage loss
  • Bone degeneration/ irregularity

How Meadowbrook Physiotherapy Clinic can help you
